You will work as a team, interacting with system architects and software engineers to support the design, implementation, integration and test of ground processing algorithms to derive environmental products from down-linked satellite data. Activities will include requirements analysis, algorithm analysis and prototyping, algorithm test and evaluation, modeling and simulation, and documentation for all phases of design though implementation.
Candidates with a variety of experience levels are sought. Minimum requirements are a MS or BS degree in the physical sciences plus a minimum of 3 years experience in relevant fields (advanced degrees may be substituted for work experience). Relevant areas of experience include meteorological and surface remote sensing, solar X-ray and UV observations, in-situ space particle detection, lightning detection, and instrument calibration.
