AER's Omaha Office

AER's Omaha office is located at the headquarters of the Air Force Weather Agency (AFWA) on Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The Omaha office has timely access to AFWA's comprehensive world-wide meteorological databases, which include observations, satellite imagery, NWP model output, and cloud analyses and forecasts. The Omaha office is the interface between AER and AFWA for the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRDA) between the two organizations. AER's close relationship with AFWA allows the two organizations to share scientific knowledge and operational experience to improve weather forecasting capabilities. Through the CRDA, AER has the right to commercialize value-added products to non-government customers in the areas of aviation, weather forecasting, and climate-related activities.
