Dr. Judah Cohen AER invited to speak on the Climate Affects to Waterfowl

Memphis, TN
January 27, 2013 - January 31, 2013

Dr. Judah Cohen was invited to speak at the North American Duck Symposium and Workshop to present how his Seasonal Forecasting research applies to waterfowl.

The presentation entitled Eurasian Snow Cover as a Predictor of Climate in North America and Application to Waterfowl Management takes a look at how "...the SAI (Snow Advance Index) is produced in October prior to the winter AO (Arctic Oscillation), there is great potential for improved winter forecasts and predicting migration patterns and distributions of waterfowl, November - February. We also will discuss effects of reduced Eurasian snow cover on seasonal cycles in North America and potential implications for waterfowl populations."
