Lexington, Massachusetts – AER Inc., is proud to announce its participation with The Museum of Science, WBZ Television, the National Weather Service, and New England educational institutions in an educational program to develop a weather education exhibit, funded through two million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation. The exhibit is slated to open at the MOS Boston in 2005. The proposal submitted in August of 2001 is "predicated on the conviction that the ability to predict tomorrow's weather is a set of skills that can, in fact be learned by most young people and adults... [who] in the process of learning to forecast the weather... can deepen their understanding of the nature of science and technology."

AER, Inc., will provide its Multispectral Image Viewer (MSIV) display toolkit, an image visualization program that automatically computes and enhances multispectral data from any satellite or aircraft imaging sensor, creating an image that requires no specialized knowledge for multispectral image interpretation. This contribution will make the science more accessible to the participants at the Museum of Science.
