AER'S QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RECEIVES
"PERFECT" AUDIT

Lexington, Massachusetts – After being registered to the ISO 9001:1994 standard in July of 2000, AER received its first annual surveillance audit on June 14, 2001. The auditors, National Quality Assurance, USA who are accredited by ANSI*RAB, reported "No issues resulting from this assessment. Nice job!"

At the closing meeting, Mr. Mark Revett, the Lead Auditor for the NQA audit, stated "This is only the second time in my career that I seen this – and I have been auditing for a long time!"

Cecilia Sze, AER's President and CEO, stated "I am pleased that our efforts have been
recognized. Quality is important to us and our customers – and I ensure that our quality system is effectively implemented at all levels of the company."

AER's Quality Management System is defined in its Quality Manual, which includes our quality policy:

"Atmospheric and Environmental Research, Inc., develops science-based
information, products, and services for business and government to support
decisions that enable the intelligent use of our environment. It is our policy
that we provide these services and products to standards of quality that meet
or exceed the requirements of our customers and that are monitored and
controlled to provide continuous improvement."
