hCast-LR is a long range hurricane consulting and forecasting service that provides in-depth analysis and expert opinion on three competing sources in long range hurricane forecasting delivered in one consolidated report. Designed specifically for anyone involved in the purchase or sale of weather sensitive securities, this long range hurricane forecasting tool assists anyone in the financial markets that need to make critical buy/sell decisions during hurricane season. hCast-LR concise detailed reports allow clients to acquire the information they need to make trading decisions. hCast-LR offers unique consultation with AER experts in hurricane prediction who sort, analyze, compare and contrast hurricane forecast techniques to identify the strengths and weaknesses. A comprehensive written report is available three times per year in December, May and June, provided within one week of report release from the outlets.
The final hCast-LR report consists of detailed text and graphics that compare and contrast the results of hurricane forecasts produced by Colorado State University, Tropical Storm Risk Consortium, and NOAA's Climate Prediction Center as well as a discussion of each predictor and attached physical linkage. In addition, a hurricane forecast commentary analysis performed by AER's hurricane forecasting experts is provided as is a comparison of the hurricane forecasts, including number of storms and intensity. AER provides customers access to a team of hurricane forecasting experts who assist in clarifying hurricane reports and answer specific questions regarding the upcoming hurricane season and forecast trends.
