hCast-SR: Short Range Probabilistic Hurricane Track Forecast

An Ensemble of Hurricane Track Forecasts for Trading CME's Hurricane Futures Contracts.

hCast-SR is a highly innovative short range (5 day) probabilistic hurricane track & intensity forecast service that monitors tropical storm formation and activity, while predicting hurricane risk along the East and Gulf Coasts.

Designed for trading futures based on the Carvill Hurricane Index (CHI) on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and monitoring potential impact on energy sector assets in the Gulf. With hCast-SR you can monitor an unbiased statistical interpretation of over 100 hurricane tracking forecasts from the leading hurricane modeling & tracking centers on a single robust web interface.

Updated four times per day, hCast-SR allows for point and click access to detailed information on hurricane position, intensity and probability of making land fall for all active hurricanes. Also provided are Regional Probability Density Functions plots based on the CHI that rank all hurricanes with predicted landfall within 100 NM of the coast. Plots are segregated by coastline region.
