Isaacs Promoted to Lead AER, Inc.'s Technology Solutions Center

Cambridge, MA—Atmospheric and Environmental Research, Inc. (AER), is pleased to announce the promotion of Ron Isaacs to senior vice president and executive director of the newly formed AER Technology Solutions Center (TSC). The TSC is AER's one-stop shopping solution for companies seeking technology-based weather and climate aids for their businesses. Isaacs was promoted from vice president of AER's Applied Research Division.

The Center's activities are to identify, develop, and market atmospheric and environmental data services, technology, and solutions based on models and algorithms developed by AER's technical groups.

A 20-year veteran at AER, Isaacs continues to direct activities in the Applied Research Division, comprising of AER's Numerical Weather Prediction, Radiation and Climate, Remote Sensing and Satellite Meteorology groups. The Applied Research Division oversees AER's role as the premier algorithm developer for four critical sensor payload study contracts as part of the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Program.

Isaacs is a member of the American Meteorological Society, as well as the Optical Society of America, the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), the Air Pollution Control Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
